Bottom lineCastos is a podcast host that can keep a show private, with a personal feed for each listener and a free listener app from its Growth plan. Which plan a company needs depends on headcount, sign-in rules and apps. These guides name the limits and the rival hosts.

Who Private Audio Desk is for

Private Audio Desk is an independent guide for HR, internal-communications and training leads at small and mid-size companies who want one private audio channel for leadership updates, onboarding and training. It also helps coaches and course sellers who run a client-only feed. Everything here was read from vendor pages and from FTC and survey sources on October 18, 2026. We have not used these products, and each page says so. Start with the Castos review or go straight to the host shortlist.

Field note

Where Castos fits and where it does not

Castos hosts podcasts and runs private shows, giving each invited listener a personal feed that can be revoked. Its free listener app starts on the Growth plan, private lists are capped by plan, and single sign-on is listed only on the contact-us Premium plan. That makes it a fit for a team that wants staff in ordinary podcast apps and can work within a few hundred listeners. The pricing guide shows what each plan adds, and Castos vs Podbean names who should pick the other host.

Field note

Compare hosts by access, apps and cost per listener

Private hosts differ most on four points: how many people a plan lets you invite, whether one person can be cut off alone, which app staff open, and what each listener costs. The comparison and shortlist pages set named hosts side by side on those points using their published plans. If you are still deciding how to start, read how to create an internal podcast first.

Field note

What this site will not tell you

Prices are not listed on these pages because they change with billing choices; check the vendor's plans page. We publish no ratings, test scores or earnings figures, because we have none, and no host can promise that downloaded audio stays private. Where a vendor does not state something, the page says so instead of guessing. This is not legal advice.

Evidence strength

Read from the vendor, dated, with limits stated.

No ratings, no test scores, no earnings claims.
