Castos alternatives: the short list

The Castos alternatives for a private or internal show are Transistor, Podbean Business, Hello Audio, Supporting Cast and Supercast, and each wins on a different point. Castos Growth is $49 a month, billed monthly, as read on October 18, 2026, for 250 private subscribers, meaning 250 people who each get their own private feed, plus the Castos app. Essentials is $19 for 100 people, without the app.

Single sign-on, or SSO, lets staff sign in with the company's own login instead of a separate password. Every price below is billed monthly unless it says otherwise.

Transistor and Podbean Business: more listeners or company sign-in

Transistor lists 50 private subscribers on Starter at $19 a month, 500 on Professional at $49 and 3,000 on Business at $99, all billed monthly. Transistor Professional lists the 500 that Castos Pro lists, at $49 a month against $99. It counts a person once, by email address, across all private shows, and lists unlimited team members. Castos's pages do not say whether one person on two private shows counts once or twice. Castos vs Transistor has the detail.

Transistor subscribers get an email for each new episode and a website player. Spotify Open Access, the way a host connects private feeds to Spotify, is on every Transistor plan. Its pages read name no listener app of its own and no SSO.

Podbean Business is $129 a month billed monthly, or $99 a month paid yearly. It lists 100 private members, SSO login, SOC 2 protection, unlimited admins and the Podbean Pro app, and extra private members can be bought, with no price shown. Members sign in with a Podbean login, emailed to anyone without one; the pages read name no personal feed address. Castos vs Podbean sets the two side by side.

Hello Audio: one private feed, no listener cap

Hello Audio Starter is $17 a month billed monthly, or $14 a month billed annually, for 1 private feed. Every plan lists unlimited listeners, so the limit is feeds, not people: Hello Audio Pro has 3 feeds at $47 a month billed monthly, and Powerhouse has unlimited feeds.

Delivery is through each person's own podcast player, with no proprietary app, and the pages read name no single sign-on. Hello Audio's help center says a listener can be switched off one at a time in the feed's Listeners area, though not one who joined through its shared universal link. Its pricing page lists a 7-day trial with no card and a 30-day refund window after the first payment. Castos vs Hello Audio covers the move.

Supporting Cast and Supercast: priced by demo or by subscriber

Supporting Cast says it delivers an internal communications podcast directly to employee podcast apps, with single sign-on, two-factor sign-in, bulk user invites and access by team, department or role. It publishes no price, plan or listener limit: its site asks for a demo. Spotify's help page lists it among the platforms Spotify connects.

Supercast charges $0.59 a month per subscriber plus Stripe's fees, taken from payments made through your own Stripe account. It sells paid audio subscriptions rather than employee audio, is on Spotify's list as well, and prices its Custom plan, for networks and large audiences, by contact.

When Castos is still the pick

Pick Castos for a company show of up to 500 people that wants a listener app and a feed you can revoke per person. Essentials, $19 a month billed monthly, suits one admin and up to 100 people. Growth adds the app, up to 5 team members and a 1:1 onboarding call, and Pro, $99, holds 500 people and 10 team members.

Castos says Spotify does not support private feeds; Spotify's help page does not list Castos, while it lists Transistor, Hello Audio, Supporting Cast and Supercast.

Pick Transistor instead when team seats matter, since it lists unlimited team members. Castos itself can be tried for 14 days: the card added at sign-up is not charged until the trial ends. For a pick by buyer type, see best private podcast platform for business.
