Private podcast hosting for employees: the short answer

Private podcast hosting for employees gives each staff member a personal feed or login that an admin can switch off alone, and the table shows how five hosts do it. Castos fits staff of up to 500: Essentials is $19 a month for 100 people, Growth $49 for 250 with the Castos app, and Pro $99 for 500, all billed monthly, as read on October 18, 2026. Castos names leadership updates, onboarding and training as its company uses.

Letting staff in: invitations, feeds and apps

Castos adds a person by name and email, and a welcome email carries their own feed. That person is a private subscriber, one person with a personal feed. Bulk import is arranged with the Castos team, and the welcome email can carry the app link or be replaced by your own. No WordPress setup is needed.

Castos says its feeds work in Apple Podcasts, Overcast and Pocket Casts, and each app's own help page describes adding a feed by its address. Growth adds the Castos app, where staff sign in with an email and a one-time code. How to create an internal podcast has the steps. Transistor subscribers get a website player and episode emails, and Supporting Cast says employees subscribe in two taps.

When someone leaves the company

Castos revokes that person's feed, and their podcast app stops receiving episodes; the Castos app follows the same list. Use individual feeds for anyone who may leave, because the shared private link cannot be revoked once it is shared.

An episode already downloaded to a phone stays there, since Castos says it cannot retrieve it, and Castos's pages do not say how fast a revoked feed stops. For its own feeds, Hello Audio says apps usually check once an hour, some only once a day. Transistor tells companies to treat a private podcast like internal company email.

Which plan fits your headcount

Castos caps private subscribers by plan, per its pricing page: Essentials 100, Growth 250, Pro 500. Transistor lists 50, 500 and 3,000 on Starter, Professional and Business, at $19, $49 and $99 a month billed monthly. Podbean Business lists 100 private members at $129 a month billed monthly, or $99 a month paid yearly. Who should pick Supporting Cast or Transistor instead

Pick Supporting Cast for single sign-on and access by team, department or role; it prices by demo and shows no figure. Pick Transistor for up to 3,000 staff on Transistor Business at $99 a month billed monthly, with unlimited team members. Castos lists team members as just you on Essentials, up to 5 on Growth and up to 10 on Pro.

A first show can be built inside Castos's 14-day trial, which includes private podcasting; the card added at the start is billed once the 14 days are up unless the trial is canceled. Castos private podcast covers the feature.
