Castos vs Supercast: the short answer
Castos charges a flat monthly plan, and Supercast charges $0.59 a month for each subscriber plus Stripe's fees. Castos Essentials is $19 a month, billed monthly, as read on October 18, 2026, for up to 100 private subscribers, meaning 100 people who each get their own private feed.
Take a business coach selling a paid private feed to 60 clients through the checkout tool they already use. If that tool is Stripe, Kit or a WordPress membership plugin, Castos can add and remove each client from it, and 60 clients fit inside Essentials.

Supercast's All-in plan charges $0.59 a month per subscriber. Stripe adds 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction and 0.7% per recurring payment, and Supercast's fee on one-time payments is 15% up to $1.50 per payment. Supercast says these fees are deducted automatically from subscriber payments.
Castos charges by plan: Essentials $19, Growth $49 and Pro $99 a month, billed monthly, capped at 100, 250 and 500 private subscribers. Castos's help center answers no to whether it takes a cut of subscriptions you sell. Stripe's own fees still apply to payments taken through Stripe.
Payments and access: Supercast's Stripe link or Castos's Stripe and Kit links
Supercast needs your own Stripe account and pays you directly on each transaction. Selling through a website or membership tool you already use needs its Custom plan, which lists WooCommerce, MemberPress, Memberful, Memberstack and Zapier, and which Supercast prices by contact.
Castos adds and removes subscribers natively from Stripe and Kit, and connects other tools through Zapier and WordPress membership plugins. Stripe's automation supports recurring products only. Paid feeds go through Stripe, Kit, Zapier or a membership tool, and how to create a paid podcast sets out the steps.
Deactivating a Supercast subscriber also cancels their subscription. Revoking a Castos subscriber ends that one feed, and an episode already downloaded to a phone stays there, because Castos says it cannot retrieve it.
Listening: Spotify, apps and personal feeds
Spotify Open Access is the way a host connects its private or paid feeds to Spotify so subscribers can listen there. Spotify's help page lists Supercast among the connected platforms and does not list Castos. Supercast says Spotify listeners get no personalized episodes, and Castos says Spotify does not support private feeds.
Apple Podcasts, Overcast and Pocket Casts each document adding a feed by its address, and Castos says its feeds work in all three. The Castos app, free to listeners, starts on Growth at $49 a month, billed monthly.
Who should pick Supercast, and who should pick Castos
Pick Supercast for a landing page and payments through your own Stripe account in one product, with Spotify listening. The Supercast pages read give no minimum fee and no payout schedule.
Pick Castos when you already sell through Stripe, Kit or a membership plugin and want a flat price. Castos asks for a card when its 14-day trial starts and does not charge it until the 14 days are up; Supercast's pricing page lists no trial for creators. More options are on Supercast alternatives and podcast membership platform.
